Support us

Your generosity will help us cover the ongoing maintenance costs of our facilities and our daily living expenses

We do not have a major source of funding. Therefore, we rely on you, our donors and pilgrims, to help us cover these costs and advance larger projects in the Holy Land.

Ways to support us

Pray for us

Lift up your hands in prayer

Blessed are the poor in spirit, the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

In his discourse known as the Beatitudes, Jesus shows us that our need and desire for God are our common ground with every neighbor and guest. We invite them, and you, to join our prayer:

Pray that the Lord may provide!

Work with us

Hands to tackle the work

If you would love to spend a few hours each week or month supporting our brothers and sisters by helping to look after the archaeological site and monastery, working in the garden, or welcoming visitors, then this is the opportunity for you! Put your talents to good use!

Shop from us

Hand-made goodies

We have icons, jams, books, and mosaic kits so you can create your own, just like the ones found in the Emmaus. The shop has many more local, handmade, artisanal items waiting for you.

Share your food

Hands to cook and feed

Maybe you cooked for 50 guests and misjudged how hungry they would be. Maybe you want to share a special dish with us that you really like. You guessed it! We would love for you to share your culinary talents with us!

Thank you!

Since we arrived in Israel in 1975, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity and support we have received. We pray for you. May the Lord repay you many times over!

Ask us anything

We maintain the Holy Site and welcome visitors of all faiths and confessions. Our other activities include dialogue and study with Jewish friends, prayer for Christian unity and reconciliation, icon writing, welcoming volunteers, and leading pilgrimages. Many people want this work to continue. Any donation will help us achieve this goal.

Our goal is to raise approximately USD 350,000 per year to cover our rent, living expenses, car expenses, site maintenance, and progress on our larger projects.

We highlight our ongoing projects and needs at the end of each newsletter. To subscribe move to the bottom of the page.

Who we are
The Community of the Beatitudes came to Emmaus in 1993. Our main purpose is to welcome the pilgrims at the Holy Site and also open the doors to the local Israeli visitors.
